Recruitment of three (03) consultants for the GBF-EAS project

RECRUITMENT OF THREE (03) CONSULTANTS TO CONDUCT RESPECTIVELY THE NEEDS ASSESSMENT IN CAPACITY BUILDING, TECHNICAL, SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE KUNMING-MONTREAL GLOBAL BIODIVERSITY FRAMEWORK (GBF) AND SPANB III, THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NATIONAL MONITORING ACTION PLAN AND A NATIONAL DART STRATEGY BASED ON THE EXPERTISE OF EXISTING MONITORING SYSTEMS AND LASTLY THE CAPACITY BUILDING ON THE MONITORING, REPORTING SYSTEMS AND THE GLOBAL BIODIVERSITY FRAMEWORK (GBF) KUNMING-MONTREAL TRANSPARENCY FRAMEWORK

As part of the revision of the second version of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP II), Cameroon benefits from the financial support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the technical support of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), through the "Global Biodiversity Framework Early Action Support (GBF-EAS)" project to carry out rapid actions for the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework Kunming-Montreal adopted at COP 15 in Montreal in December 2022.  It is in this context that the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Protection and Sustainable Development (MINEPDED), as the implementing institution of the GBF-EAS project, is recruiting three (03) National consultants to provide the following services:

  • Assessing needs for capacity building, technical, scientific cooperation and technology transfer for the implementation of the GBF Kunming-Montreal and NBSAP III;
  • the development of a national surveillance action plan and a national DaRT strategy based on the expertise of existing surveillance systems;
  • Capacity building on the GBF Kunming-Montreal's monitoring, reporting and transparency framework.
