E-training on the Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (FDES 2013) for all African countries

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) jointly with the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) is going to organize an e-training on the Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (FDES 2013) for all African countries.

The e-training will be conducted in both English and French (one hour each) on every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 29 June 2017 through the online platform of WebEx. You are most welcome to register and participate in the e-training.

FDES 2013 was adopted by the Statistical Commission at its forty-fourth session in 2013 as the framework for strengthening environment statistics programmes in countries.

Attached are the documents that have been sent to the Director General of National Statistical Office (NSO) in your country. If you would like us to send a similar letter to the head of your agency, kindly reply to us with detail contact information. The deadline for nomination and registration for participating in the e-training is 31 May 2017.
