Pilot operations in partnership

This call is a continuation of the previous one (issued on October 29, 2016) and aims to support projects that contribute to the strengthening of the capacities of research teams while participating in the development of economic, political and social innovation.

Unlike the previous call for projects, this one does not require prior co-financing and proposals can be submitted by academic institutions or operational actors (NGOs, private or public companies, associations, etc.)

The selected projects must:

i) be based on a partnership between academic institution and economic or operational actor;

ii) be supported by a structure from one of the southern countries covered by the program (22 countries in Africa, Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia)

iii) fall within the areas of concentration of the program around plant biodiversity:

  • sustainable management of forest plant biodiversity
  • mitigating the impacts of mining activities
  • the valorization of plant biodiversity (pharmacopoeia, cosmetics and other uses not
  • food)
  • agro-biodiversity
