Cameroon will represent Africa at the COP Bureau

Ms. Joséphine Thérèse BEYALA Epse ELOUNDOU was elected for the first time as the Representative of Africa on the COP Bureau. With the Togolese Jonas KOMBI ANTHE also elected, they will be two Africans to assume this exciting responsibility.
All our congratulations and encouragement to Ms. Technical Advisor No. 1/MINEPDED and National Focal Point of Cameroon at the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
Cameroon won awards in Cali, Colombia, during the World Biodiversity Conference.

Mr. NTEP Rigobert (photo above) is back on the Compliance Committee under the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
This is a re-election to the said Committee for Mr. NTEP Rigobert. In fact, he joined this body in 2016 during the same meetings in Cancún, Mexico. He became its President since 2018, a position he held until he was re-elected in recent days.
The two other African countries appointed to this 15-member Select Committee, including three from each continent, are Dr. Mamane Gado Zaki from Niger and Dr. Dorington Ogoyi from Kenya.
Congratulations and encouragement to the Director of the Center for Environmental Information and Documentation (CIDE) of MINEPDED, who is also the National Focal Point of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
