This workshop was organized on July 14, 2021 by the Network of Actors for the Conservation of Marine Turtles in Central Africa (RASTOMA) and the Global Biodiversity Information System (GBIF). The objectives of this workshop were to take into account existing national and international tools and standards in order to:

• Define and describe the parameters to be included in the sea turtle database
• define the minimum standard data that can feed into the national database and guide decision-making and finally;
• Define the terms of data sharing between the various stakeholders.
