Call for research project proposals
The RIFFEAC is a grouping of twenty-one training institutions in the Central African subregion, which aims to develop the skills and structures necessary for the joint and sustainable management of environmental and forest resources. Created in Libreville, Gabon, in 2001, RIFFEAC became in 2006 the partner of the Central African Forests Commission (COMIFAC) for the implementation of strategic axis No. 7 of its Convergence Plan “Capacity building, stakeholder participation, information and training” in 2006.
To all actors (Researchers, NGOs, Technical Institutions, University Institutions) in the Forest/Environment field in the Congo Basin.
RIFFEAC has research support funds. The support concerns three categories of candidates:
- Type 1: maximum amount €5,000, reserved for doctoral students enrolled in doctoral programs in the sub-region;
- Type 2: maximum amount €10,000, reserved for professors and teachers of university institutions to carry out “university research” projects in the forest or environment field of the Congo Basin;
- Type 3: maximum amount €5,000, reserved for professors and teachers of technical institutions to carry out projects such as “technical/applied research and special projects for the transfer of technology or knowledge” in the field of forest or environment in the Congo Basin.
The network, therefore, is launching a call for proposals for university research projects, applied research projects and special projects compatible with research fields within one month (no later than May 10, 2014) to doctoral students, professors and teachers of university institutions, and professors and teachers of technical institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa interested in the Forest/Environment problem of the Congo Basin, a call for proposals for university research projects, applied research projects and special projects compatible with research fields.
We ask the various candidates to scrupulously follow the drafting instructions contained in the application guide also during this call and to fill out the summary form.
Languages: French and English will be the working languages.
