It is spread over an archipelago on mountains at least 1500-1800 m above sea level on the volcanic or dorsal line of Cameroon. The IGN 1/200,000e maps are those of Mokolo, Tignère, Baléké-Mbéré, Akwaya, Nkambe, Mamfe, Bafoussam, Bafoussam, Buea-Douala. It is the smallest of ecosystems because it covers a total area of approximately 15,400 km2.
