National training course notes on the processes for setting up contingency plans and developing examples of emergency responses in the event of a biological invasion in Cameroon
This national training workshop (Activity C13) appears as an additional step to produce a credible document taking into account examples contextualized at the Cameroonian level. This document highlights the objectives, expectations and results achieved during the national training on “the processes for setting up contingency plans and the development of examples of emergency responses in the event of biological invasion in Cameroon”. Indeed, the establishment of a contingency plan is essential to provide a rapid and effective response to the introduction of invasive biological species. Despite the low level of information and awareness among the various actors, several scenarios in terms of rapid response have already been put in place in Cameroon, for example in cases of Ebola, Cholera or Avian Flu epidemics, the invasions of tsetse flies and locusts.
